 18 Year Old Virgin (2009)
IMDB rating: 2.60
Plot: This female flip on “lose your virginity” comedies follows an 18-year-old girl as she tries desperately to become a woman the night before throwing her cap in the air for graduation. With teenage libidos pulsing all around her, getting laid would seem a cinch. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than she’s done.

What's wrong with being "pregnant at 16"?
For most of written human history females have become mothers while they were teenagers. According to myth, the virgin Mary was 14 when she conceived Jesus.
If you asked any biologist, in the absence of modern medicine, which female would be most likely to produce healthy offspring, a 17-year-old girl or a 35-year-old woman, they would tell you the 17-year-old girl would without any doubt.
When Thomas Edison, who was 29, choose his wife, who was 16, he did not need a scientific mind (even though he had one) to understand the reproductive value of his new wife.
I don’t think that teenage pregnancy is the problem. I think teenager boys and guys in their early 20s being fathers is.
Would you agree with me?
About Me:
I’m 27 years old, I have two degrees and my wife will be 18 when she gives birth.
It’s not illegal in most countries, and especially not if you’re married.
So really young, financially unstable dads aren’t the problem?
P.S. -My brother and I share an account, smart@zz.
I’m "creepy" for being 9 1/2 years older than my wife? I suppose that the fact her parents love me and what I’ve made of my life is also "creepy". I guess that fact that I learned Russian to communicate with her and her family is also "creepy"?
For a start, It’s against the law.
Cheers

mmm… what’s the problem is that teenage girls are NOT emotionally or psycologically ready for children, even though their bodies may be physically ready to produce them.

Look, if you really, really believe that what you are doing is right, then don’t come to us for validation. Because hey, if you believe that it is, why would you need any?
One of the things that I see as wrong with teenage pregnancies is that these girls have no means to take care of themselves, and will often drop out of school. So their education is down the drain… as well as their future. Also, it saddens me that they force themselves to grow up so quickly. Plus, if they’re too young to be responsible adults, what will their children learn from them?
Good luck. Here’s wishing all goes well for you and especially your new family. I hope your wife and you are compatible in every single way. Mostly, I hope that she really, really wants this, too.

Yes it is very true that at 17 year old is likely to give birth to a healthier baby unassistied then a 35 year old. However unlike the biblical times women are more than just baby making machines.
There are vast difference between now and then that make having a child in your teens or early twenties inpratical. although our biology remains the same, our society has not. In the past a woman’s world has been focused on the home and although it was possible for two people to fall in love dispite an age gap of ten years it as unlikely and most marriages were marriages of convince that grew into love. The woman’s world was focused on the home and they would often have a network of other women or family to help them with thier newborns and to adjust to life as a mother and home maker.
This is nowhere near the case today. Woman have more oppertunites to do more with their lives. They can go to school, be in the working world, whatever they want and not confined to the home. In order to make it in todays world often both parents have to work in order to provide. The bas of people’s lives is no longer the home but outside of the home making a teen with a baby and very little educational and work history a poor choice for a mother. She will be unlikely to get the sort of supprort that any new mother needs and where in the past she would have had peers that are going through a similar path, she will be isolated and alone. I’m sure your wife will start feeling this soon.
Also people are living for a much longer these days than they have in the past. Part of the reason that women had children young was becuase they well died early. And their children were likely to pass while young as well. Infant mortilaty was high therefore people were prone to have many children since many of them would not make it past a year or two. Since this is no longer the case women can wait to have children later in life as neither they nor their children are likely to pass unless it’s due to the unforeseen.
Teenage pregnancy is a problem in todays world. This is not times past. Welcome to the 21st century. Nether teen boys or girls are equipped to handle being parents in today’s world. It’s great that you have become successful but what’s going to happen to your wife and child if something happens to you? What does she have to fall back on? I hope you are encourching her to go to school. If you were to pass or leave here for some other highschool girl who has better fertility options in your opinion then what is she supposed to do.
Also, I think with the information you’ve provided that you’re a creepy man and it’s horrible that you would marry and impregnante someone so young.
