Where have all the fish gone? Little Red Bay, Ontario – Bruce Penninsula – Lake Huron?
I have gone to a family / fishing resort called Evergreen Resort since I was young. The resort is on Lake Huron in Little Red Bay of the Bruce Penninsula in Ontario.

We used to catch perch and Walleye – a bunch of them. The resort used to have a fish house (to clean the fish), bait store, etc.

Each year for several years the fishing has gotten worse and worse. The water level here has dropped also. Everyone in the area has an opinion of why: natural cycle, commercial over-fishing, rising water temp, etc.

There is litteraly NO perch or walleye in a 20-30 mile radius of little red bay anymore.

Where have all the fish in little red bay, lake huron gone?

Will a female Gourami pick on a dwarf Gourami?
I have a gold gourami that I believe is a female, and I wanted to get a powder blue gourami to go with her. (I have a 55 gallon tank with 3 cory cats and 7 platies.) I wanted to know if she (who may grow to 6 inches) would attack a powder blue gourami (who would only grow to 2 inches).

no i have like every gourami together 4 powder blues 1 honey 1 dwarf 2 fire belly 1 gold 2 blue 3 Paradise gouramis it will be great and put a peacock eel in ur tank and a silver dollar
Sam | Jan 31, 2010

I think it depends…every fish has a diff personality. I think your tank is big enough that they would prob’ly be ok as long as you have some hiding places. We had several types of gouramis and a couple dwarfs and some of them were ok with each other and some fought to the death. Usually males are more aggressive so I think you’ll be ok. There’s only one way to find out If you get your dwarf from petsmart or petco you can always take it back if its getting attacked. That is if you can catch it before its harmed.
momma | Jan 31, 2010

One can never say for sure about fish compatibility. Individual fish have different personalities and levels of aggression. I personally have never had a problem mixing gouramis. You have a large tank, and relatively few fish, make sure you have some plants or decorations where the fish can hide. But usually if they are introduced young, it works out ok.

Good luck

Why can i not find decent answers to these questions?
Alright, so i’m not considering suicide as most of you would guess from reading this. I’m doing a project for my enlish class and i had a few questions about the topic i picked. And some of you may also think that i’m using that as a cover story just to get the answers i need. No. But that’s fine, as long as i get some answers. So here we go:
In my project i am writing as though i filmed the lives of a few people. I’ll get the female information first seeing as that might let you know i just need answers. So here is the plot.
First female:
About 130 pounds, shooting for the age of around 15-17 yanno?
Taking 1200 of Ibuprofen (that’s sixty, 200 mg pills)
I may add 600 mg Reglan to it, make a difference?

Second female:
About 100 pounds. Same age group. Not sure on the amount as for i read that 400-800 is considered a toxic dose of pain medications? Either way, i’m not sure.
Possible pregnancy? Sounds great right?
And i’m not sure what else to add for each overdose? Make a request….?
Also the scene is going to be set as if they were in a mall, so they could get help, because we don’t want to make people commit full suicide in the vital english class.
How long would it take for symptoms to set in?
What would start happening for them with their age and weight?
What would i have needed to happen to them when the medics arrived and what would happen after they reached the hospital, would they pass out first hand?
I will be filming this during, but no one will actually be taking any medications, i just need to set up a fake scene and know the responses to it. Any ideas from you all?
If you take the time to comment on this, thank you, and if you don’t; don’t put up rude comments just pass it up. Thanks again. Have a wonderful day.

Um this is the acting section..

"Running away" at 19… (explained better)?
Alright so I realize that since I am over the legal age of 18, if I just left my house it would not be technically running away. But that’s what I’m doing. I’ll give you a little bit of information to fully understand so you’re able to answer the question I’m going to ask though. So, let me say first that I am not leaving my parents house out of hate, anger, or anything cliche like that. My reason is that I just want to live my life the way I’ve always been wanting to. And that’s very hard to do when you have one of the most judgmental people as your mom. I don’t necessarily want to go and do bad things but just I guess not have to worry if what I am doing is going to be approved by her.

Why do I need/want to move out your probably wondering? It’s very simple actually. There’s no drama or anything. I am just simply not happy and it’s been this way for a long while now so I don’t expect things to change anytime… at all. So I just need to take control of my own life. The reason why I can’t just sit my parents down and talk to them is because they won’t care what I have to say. I know that for a fact, I have tried many times to calmly sit down and talk to them about many things in the past and all I get from them is criticism and yelling. This is just what is best for my current situation honestly.

I feel as though I have a pretty flawless plan as to how I am going to do this as well. What I am going to do is at night when both my parents are sleeping, my boyfriend is going to help me get all my stuff out of my room and put it all into his car. I have written a long letter to my parents that I will be leaving on the kitchen counter where they will easily see in the morning. In this letter, I will explain my reasoning behind moving out, who I am with, and that I will contact them so they know I am safe. I know it will hurt my parents but I feel like nothing else will get the point across. I also don’t plan on cutting my family out of my life completely. What I am going to do is after a few days of my moving out, I will call my parents just to say I’m safe and no need to worry. And then eventually, after things have calmed down at a tolerable level, keep more in touch with them.

As for where I’ll go, I have a place to stay and also a very good job already that actually pays a lot more than my parents have ever made but that’s beside the point. I will also be attending school once I get everything together. I do want to succeed in life and I want to go far with all my dreams but I want to do it the way I feel is best for me, not what my parents want. This may sound like just a pathetic (or no so pathetic) attempt at rebellion. But that’s not what I’m doing. I just need to start my life and I don’t want to waste another second being unhappy here.

So if your still reading and aren’t bored out of your mind yet, here is what my question is, finally… With being over the legal age and leaving a note, is there anyway that my parents can get to me or find out where I am somehow? Like by social security number? Or something like that?

Note that I will not be taking the car they bought for me, or my cell phone (I’ll be getting a new phone under a new account, new number and everything obviously), I don’t use any credit cards of theirs, and they do not know where the person who I’ll be with lives at. And also I’ll be married (please don’t lecture me about this either) so my last name will be different, which will make it almost impossible for them to access any information about me or find me right? Please let me know if you see any flaws in this plan. Any at all, even if you are not 100% positive. I just need to make sure that there is no way that they can find me in anyway.

Thank you if you actually took the time to read all this. Oh, and please do not preach to me about how I should not go through with doing this. Exercise your fingers somewhere else please, it would just be a waste of both of our time.

hahaha, thats awesome. im 19 and i pretty much did the same thing about 9 months ago. i left in the middle of the night and drove 1000 miles by myself to the city where my bf had just moved. i still talk to my family and theyre still pissed but theyre starting to accept it. good luck
desolationrow690 | Feb 09, 2010

I can understand your need to want to spread your wings and fly.
One flaw. and it is only one that you will have to deal with at some point in your future relationship with your parents. It is the way you are leaving, like a thief in the night, It will send the message to your parents that they are right, that you are immature, that you Yada,Yada ,Yada. Get the point? Yes, I know you do..
Your parents can not send the police to search for you and bring you back as you state you are over 18. They can track you by hiring a private Detective, or by paying a fee to do a back ground search on the internet, but any info will not show up for a while to come. , If you were to take the car they bought you ,and money is still owed on it ,if you were to make payment using snail mail and a return address ,the return address would be entered into the system for billing purposes.. By changing your last name it would make things much more difficult for your family to find you.. One thing they could try is to file a MISSING PERSONS report, but that can not be filed until you have been gone for 48hours.. I believe that the legal age is 18. in all 50states but check with your state just to make sure.
I will not say that the way you are leaving is good or mature but I can understand that it is important that you do it this way, I don’t know why it is important that they not be able to find you ,what does come to mind is that there may be a chance that you are not 18yet and feel that if you say you are younger ,no one will give much in the way of an answer here. but this is your business ,I will tell you to check in with your parents fairly often so as to not worry them unnecessarily.. whatever has happened between you ,I hope with time and distance and communication that you will be able to forgive and to build a better relationship with understanding how people just are who they are and we do not have to accept things, but can change things, but only our own side of things..
You have thought long and hard on this and you seem to have covered all the bases,, so I think as long as you also send a letter or call your local Police Dept within the 48hrs to just inform them that you are well and safe, over 18 and are not in trouble,. but that you will not be returning,. I think that should do it.,., you could even have someone else just drop off a note to them or you can just call the non_emergency line,, Best of luck and be safe.. Congrats on your Elopement.

If I may offer a suggestion: don’t wait "a few days" to let your parents know you are safe. Your parents are going to be absolutely devastated that you’re missing, especially with no way of finding you. If you do decide to go ahead with this plan, please contact them the day they realize you’ve left. Otherwise they might resort to calling the police and issuing a "missing persons" report. Besides, the least you can do is put their minds at ease (even if only minimally).

I read your entire post because you remind me so much of myself when I was 19. I used to think I had all the answers, too. While I’d love to offer my opinion of you and the decision you’re intending on making, you seem entirely too stubborn to accept any genuine advice. It’s obvious why you feel so misunderstood by your parents.

Please seriously consider these questions as you make the decision to "run away"…
What will you do if your plan doesn’t materialize the way you think it will? What will happen if you can’t get that well-paying job? Have you thought of what you’ll do in the event that your living arrangement falls through? Is your boyfriend (excuse me— soon-to-be-husband, lol) able to support you both if need be? If you hit rock bottom, are you willing to go back home to your parents, or are you so stubborn that you’ll do absolutely anything to avoid relying on them again? Keep in mind that life has a way of throwing sh*t at you when you least expect it, and when it’s the LAST thing you need.

No matter HOW sure you are RIGHT NOW that this is exactly what is right for you, there’s an excellent chance that it’s not. You and your boyfriend’s relationship is still quite immature (no offense intended), despite your plans for marriage. The only reason a grown man would help you "run away" from your parents would be to rescue you from an abusive or dangerous environment (being that they bought you a car, I’m assuming this isn’t the case). Not because of something as trivial as "they yell at me and tell me I shouldn’t get married at nineteen, etc.".

The fact that you repeatedly asked people to refrain from lecturing you should be your biggest clue about this plan. You know you’re about to make a slew of irresponsible decisions… you just don’t want to hear it.

I do hope everything works out for you….. please remind your parents that you love them and appreciate them.

My boyfriend is using me. I want to leave him.?
My boyfriend and I have been dating 9 months now. We have never lived together until now and that was only because i lost my job 5 weeks ago. Before when i was still working he would spend the night almost every night. I still footed every bill. Finally I got tired and asked him to just pay the cable and internet bill and he did for about 3 months and I could tell he wasnt happy about it. We both are 27 and prior to this he was living with his mom and dad, and his dad was asking him to pay rent there even though he was living with me. I am tired of this. He doesnt help clean, pay bills, or wash any clothes here. He sometimes cook. I have a 3 yr old and he has grown very close to him. I feel us breaking apart. We would have a perfect relationship if it wasnt for this.
He is immature and he doesnt know if he ever wants to get married. He said maybe in his 30’s. I just bought my first house and I still manage to pay all the bills and he pays the cable bill. I want him out NOW. He said he only moved in because I lost my job and he wanted to help me but when time comes to help, he shys away and I just pay them myself. He has never been on his own so he has no experience with this. His mom wants him to come home sometimes cuz she misses him and I am like your a grown man. Why are your parents dictating what you do? So he is now going to go home once a week. Also he works a lot of hour Mon-Fri from 9am-9,10,11, or even midnight sometimes. He is a track coach at a university and when the weekends come (his days off) he was track meets he has to go to. I hardly get to see him and it hurts. My son hardly gets to see him. He also has study hall at school, does recruiting, and he has to dj at school (for free). He fears he may lose his job so he trys to go over and beyond. I understand this. But relationships take sacrifice and I cant deal. Please help me make sense out of this before I lose a good guy.

If he really loves u & wants to live with u he should see u need help and Actually helps u, especially if he says he is going to! Idk wat the deal is w/his parents but ask him wat he wants to do & tell him how u feel bout the situation. Try to have a schedual for cleaning, bills, & such. Sounds like he is xtremely busy. Help each other
Best of luck Things will wrk out in the end. Remember to listen to ur heart but Also use common sense.
He sounds ike a very nice person, but it is likely that this behavior is the fault of his parents. He was living with them at 27? hmmm it sounds like they are sheltering him, so he is not used to having to take care of himself, much less you and your child as well. What he needs is something to wake him up and he needs to let go of his mummy and daddy. It isn’t good for him, his parents acting this way. I’m not saying he should ignore them or anything, but he must be able to push them away a bit or he will never grow up I’m sorry but I really don’t know what you can do…
good luck anyway! I hope this works ot for you because he really does sound very very nice

Is it bad or good that people find me funny for reasons I don't understand?
Im 17, female, socially awkward, and since high school started people seem to gradualy find me more and more funny. Before that, I never, nor did I really care, to make people laugh. I was almost always quiet, but with friends I took everything serious, like little stupid things in an annoying way, but was very goofy around close friends and at home). To be more clear, before high school, I wasn’t funny and didn’t care, and now as a senior, it seems to be a dominant part of my personality (when I’m not being quiet) for things that I do on purpose and for things I do not do on purpose (gestures with hands, certain faces I make a lot, the way I say things like chopping up the way i say stuff, moving around when I talk, dancing sorta when I talk (im good with isolations haha).

I guess it started in 10th grade, when I stopped taking stuff serious, and when during sports practices I was able to stop being extremely reserved, and probably appeared more genuine. So, then in both 10th and 11th grade, for some reason, people would laugh when I had said stuff, but I didn’t really have a good sense of humor. These "people" usually were extroverted, funny, and social, and for some reason just found me entertaining. So there would be people that were basicially socially "superior" that were amused by how I acted, and told me I was funny. This did not really happen to people around my level socially.

All I can say is that it kinda confused me, I liked that "being me" more had made people laugh, but it was more "at" me, even though it was in a nice way. It wasn’t like I tripped and people laughed (i guess that probably happened at some point though heh), it just seemed like there was some way I was acting that made people laugh (unless I was extra quiet), and it usually happened when i felt socially inferior because they were so extroverted. How I acted then pretty much stemmed from my social awkwardness, which is way I didn’t like it, because it represented sorta a struggle I’ve tried to overcome, which I usually have done by being quiet, but that gets me nowhere.

Okay, so now I’m a senior, and in the past year or two I’ve gradually developed a sense of a humor that I do intentionally only because I don’t want people to people to laugh ONLY for my awkward gestures and stuff. I actually feel pretty satifisfied (although I think it will grow more) with the intentional humor I’ve developed. I feel like I would never have cared to get one if it wasn’t for people already finding me funny for my awkwardness.

I guess the way I would describe my intentional humor is making funny connections/associations, witty, play on words, etc.. I can do it often now and saying it sooner for good timing, basically whenever I feel like it in a comfortable situation, and it might come out whenever I’m uncomfortable.

So, now the unintentional stuff I do is still with me, and I guess its part of me. I just HATE that I can’t control it, but people seem to enjoy it, especially when they are social and funny. It derives from my social incompetence, although that has definitely been improving, but things like this just remind me of it.

I feel like the more I embrace my "quirkiness" the more likeable I become, but I just don’t know. I never asked for this, and it just never seemed like it would happen to me. I guess i’ve always been socially incompetent, and I all I wanted was to be be perceieved as normal, confident, and not weird…that never happened, but I’m kinda glad it didn’t now that I’ve accepted it. I found out like I really like people and it makes life way more fun to have friends to joke around with.

I guess I just feel conflicted about the situation. Its bittersweet, and I’m very bad at making small talk. I’m much more socially aware now, but lack social skills in many situations. I feel really underserving of people finding me funny sometimes. I guess have more intentional humor rids away this guilt more. I don’t know I should try to get rid of the awkward stuff I do, or just embrace it. Its so hard to get rid of, and it kinda lower my self esteem when people find it funny.

You have obviously put a lot of thought into this. Quit sweating the small stuff. If you don’t like people laughing at you because you do something awkward don’t do it! Do something else this is funny.

More importantly don’t worry so much about what people think of you because you will end up reading into things that have no meaning.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You sound like a normal 17 year old who is struggling like everyone else to find their voice in this world.
Radio>Tv | Nov 03, 2009

You seem really smart. I have a friend like what you described, people usually laugh at him but he laughs with us because he knows it’s silly/kinda stupid too. But you seem pretty articulate and usually that’s what people laugh my friend for, when he doesn’t articulate the right message. So I don’t know what kind of funny you do.
YOYO | Nov 03, 2009

SIMPLE- it none of your BUSINESS what people think about you.
what is IMPORTANT is what you think about you.
if you think, feel , believe you are funny person then you are funny,
if you think you are not funny person then your are not.
OUR SOCIETY HAS CONDITIONIED OUR MINDS SO STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK ABOUT YOU ,
THINK WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT NOT SOCIETY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS SOCIETY.

Dominican men and black women?
I recently traveled to DR on business, and I was pleasantly surprised by the bold attention that I received from Dominican men. I discussed this phenomenon with a close friend when I returned and she implied that the true attraction was financial, and that Dominicans only see their American visitors as prospective money pots. I really enjoyed myself and hoped to return soon, but I felt pretty stupid after that dose of reality and thought I’d get some opinions on the topic just to get things in perspective. Any thoughts?

Your friend’s absolutely right. Don’t let their charm and good looks fool you, it’s hardly ever genuine. I’m not a bad looking girl by any means but when I went over there a couple of months ago I had men fawning all over me as if I were a supermodel! I saw right through them but enjoyed the attention nonetheless.

As long as you don’t plan on falling for any of these men, I see no harm in having a good time.

are there really guardian angels,if so then why do innocent children suffer?
Why do innocent children die and suffer ? where was their guardian angel? where was God?
I once felt lucky that i was being protected, and my kids were being protected when i asked god to protect them or to show me a sign i was being listened to (i got many unmistakable signs!) infact many amazing things have happened to me [ i will share 2 ] 1: I was 17 and i was at a house party i knew the owner of the house & i was with a friend she wanted to stay, i wanted to go home but she drove. 2 men at the party asked if i needed a ride so i figured they were safe if they knew the owner of the house ( im 17) so i took the ride. well back in then the cars had one long front seat so three could sit in front. the men arranged it so i would sit in the middle. on the way home they veered off the road into a huge state park it was pitch black it looked like the pine trees went on forever,i was scared but stayed calm then the car stopped deep in the forest and the men were silent, they turned on the car light and pulled out a 6 pack of beer. I said no thanks i dont like beer and they began to drink. i was plotting how i would get out of the car in a calm way. i looked up while they were drinking and said please God help me. just at that very moment we saw in the blackness 2 headlights come driving through the woods, it was a state police car!! he pulled up next to the car and had the passenger unroll his window shined the flashlight in and said "do you know these men?" i screamed no! and he said get out of the car. later at the station he said "you know i never come through this way but something told me to take a look"! i am sure that was more than a coinsidence. #2 my dad died at age 73 we sat by his bedside we decide to put take him off the respirator etc. (it was his wish) it was 8 pm on the 12th floor of the hospital me and my 2 sisters sat at his bedside in silence watching the oxygen go down on the monitor. i turned away and was looking out the window for 1 minute all the time having my hand on top of my dads head suddenly i felt a presence a movement in the still of the room that made me jerk my head around to see- it was 11:20 pm now and it was at that minute that i turned my head to see that my father died and what i saw when i turned my head was a vision similar to that of gas rising off the road on a hot summer day in the distance it looked like a clear haze it was gone in less than 2seconds.. no one else saw it. i believe that i saw my father leaving or the angel who comes to take those to the other side. many other amazing things have occured too. i have always since 14 years old been searching for the truth i have tried many religions and i thought i finally figured it out after years and much effort! then recently i found in my book shelf an old magazine i had,in it there was an article on holocaust, and a question was asked quite bluntly .."why did God let little children roast to death screaming in ovens ?" Traumatized ,i cried all night-my entire faith in god/angels my rock of support – shattered! i dont think anyone has the answer for this. why would god answer some prayers and not the prayers of those poor poor parents who lost their kids!! why would i be special and not innocent children and terrified parents!!! i must be lucky thats all. and i thought i was actually getting signs– maybe just coinsidences?! i thought everything happened for a reason. and all the bad that has happened to me i thought it was a "learning experience meant to bring me closer to god and the truth has been what? In 46 years i havent lost my faith no matter what until this article.any one have an anwer? and yes i did look at rabbi kushners book didnt help convince me. I feel abandoned everyday i would ask God to watch over my boys and myself now i feel like why me and not them? sincerely, shattered faith ~

Have you considered that your belief may have been in the wrong god? Or that you may believe the wrong things about your god? It would seem to me that your guardian angel was protecting you in the only means which it could. Yes, you saw your father in his spiritual form departing the shell you know as his body. He essence (I call spirit, you may call soul) was taken by his guardian and guides to a place for rest and recuperation, as death is extremely strenuous on the spirit.

As for the children dying, which bothers you so much, it is the choice of the spirit for each incarnation which it takes and it was their choice to accept it for whatever reason they had. Consider for a moment that the spirit of the child was needing to fulfill the needs of the parent so that they could become better people. Today’s selfish society is so wrapped up in themselves they overlook the impact some event may have on others beside themselves.

Reincarnation is not a forced event upon the spirit entities but a potential opportunity should they choose to undertake for whatever reason they may have.

The following is taken from the "E.S. Faq." tab on the link below:

Myths, Teachings, and Doctrines

Attempts are made throughout history to explain the interactions between God, humankind and the universe of Pure Spirit. The dimensional nature of intelligent life throughout the Cosmos provides the basis for this inquiry into our individual creation, and the purpose of life on planet earth.

I believe in God. I believe God always has a plan and sometimes we may not see why God is doing something. Maybe he wanted the people in the rest of the world not to take their lives for granted. The only person that knows is God. He always has a plan in store for all of us, though we may not know why, I believe he is doing it because he knows what is better. All I have to say is please do not lose your faith over an article. God is Great!!!
Those situations you found yourself in are coincidences if you believe them to be or they were signs. Faith.. let us look at the many meanings…

   1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.
2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See synonyms at belief, trust.
3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one’s supporters.
4. often Faith Christianity. The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God’s will.
5. The body of dogma of a religion: the Muslim faith.
6. A set of principles or beliefs. (from answers.com)

The second one is the most common in my experiences. There is no real evidence for us to know whether it was god who helped us, god who hurt us or anything like that. It all comes in how you view god as well. Clearly it was not god who caused such a terrible tragedy or any tragedy for that matter but rather the wickedness of men who in their persuit of truth ended up killing or harming innocent people.

I could be mistaken but in most religions (at least in christianity and pagan beliefs) angels are not allowed to interfere with our choices. We can ask for their help and they will help but because they are supposed to help us evolve they cannot get in our way if we choose otherwise. Of course we are still goverened by the physical world because we have a physical body so we must obey it’s laws. they cannot take our pain away because we have a body. They cannot carry us away because of our bodies so in the case where people get hurt it is not gods doing but it is true that god also did not come to the rescue.

My views on god is taht it is not an old bearded man sitting up there causing everything to happen as it does because if I’d believe that then I wouldn’t worry about doing much of anything because he’ll just make it happen. No, instead I see god as the energy all around us. Science says that energy is everywere and it is what keeps everything in balance and the earth spinning and all the other wonderful things. But in religion we called this energy "God". Many of our stories about magickal beings were created simply to explain the unexplainable. As we evolved we began to trade religion for science and while they’re one in the same they’re both not complete. Science has yet to reveal everything and religion comes with great philosophy but sometimes finds it hard to explain the emotions or complex minds of us humans.

I believe in reincarnation so in my case the purpose of many lives (or even if I were to believe in only one life) is to be like God. To grow to be like god by loving each other and taking care of each other to understand each other and learn to live well without harm. Each life we become closer and closer to this perfect being but how do we evolve? We do so from need. It isn’t until a species is threatened that it evolves just like the some animals were once large but began to "shrink" as time passed in order to survive. Larger animals did this when food was scarce and some small animals began to grow when there was plenty of food for them. Fish do the same thing in aquariums, if you give them plenty of space then they will grow large but if you give them very little space it stunts their growth.

So in evolution we cannot spiritually grow without the many heart aches or pains of life. Our happiness will have no value if it wasn’t for our pain. If you were happy all the time how would you know it for sure if you had nothing to compare it to? For every major event in life I feel that we become better people towards each other. Which is why it is very upsetting for these "gangs" to sprout up in supposedly "evolved" cities. I think it’s a step backwards that happens out fear. Some people are not intelligent enough, or talented enough to keep up with the every evolving species and so they go backwards and repeat history. I have heard gang members talk bad about hitler but they know little of their position as gang members and how many die so that they can put bread on their table.

So it is through these terrible moments that we are tested, that we have opportunity to grow and give value to life. This is not the work of God, this is the work of man. God happened when people stood up against hitler. God happened when people began to change and look beyond religion and race or sexual orientation. God happened when that officer decided to live a moral life and saved your life. God happened when he listened to his gut instinct to be where you would be. God happened when everyone donated to help the victims of Haiti. God happens when we do good. When we do bad is when fear is getting the best of us. Fear that we’re different and might not measure up, fear that there might not be enough to go around, fear that we might not be accepted, fear that we might be hated or fear that we might not be worth anything.

I really wish I could say more but I wouldn’t want to take up too much space here as there are plenty of souls ready to answer your question which I am sure will be full of love.

Blessings,
Shadow Storm

And remember that it is perfectly healthy for us to doubt everything in life. Studies showed that even an athiest doubts the belief that there is no god and a believer in god also doubts the existence of one just the same from time to time. To take this obstacle and use it to either build your faith or to switch your beliefs around a little is what this test is for. To be more like god includes to understand human nature and why we do the things we do. Here is your chance, your calling to try and understand as it is the next step of your evolutionary cycle.

EDIT: Why did a person thumbs down everyone who believes in God? That is not fair. There is a right of free speech… or type. Just cause people don’t think like you doesn’t mean we are wrong.
Upon creation, man was given the ultimate freedom, free will. We built our world as it is today. We are at fault for all of our own problems. Don’t blame God. God answers ALL prayers. But you must sometimes realize that no answer, is the answer. Those kids that died, are in the happiest state of mind they have ever been in now. Remember, this life is nothing but a trial compared to the eternity you will spend in Heaven or Hell. So, don’t be so quick to renounce your faith, that’s a very silly move on your part.
You need to read Sylvia Brown’s book: "The Other Side". See, before we come her from Heaven, we map out our entire lives. We are the ones who choose all the bad things that happen to us. We come here to learn, and what have you learned from when things went great? So everything that happens to us was completely our choice. We chose for those bad things to happen to us. We even choose when we die. Also, everyone has a spirit guide. It’s sorta like a guardian angel, but they don’t save us from bad things. They help us through them. Most of us don’t see or hear them, but they come out through our subconscious. Every time you have a thought out of nowhere, or just call it "women’s intuition" or "I had a feeling", it’s probably your Spirit guide giving you ideas. However, Angels can come down to earth and stop bad things, even if it means interfering with a person’s life chart. I hope that helped.
There are suffering children because you are on here asking silly questions instead of doing something yourself, and relying on ethreal beings to do the work for you.

We must end the suffering of those in the world, and stop relying on Gods, Angels, Spirits, etc to end it for us. WE as a species need to get our heads out of our butts and do some work!!
I think shadow storm is right, expect i believe in a Goddess, not god. But i do think that everything happens so we can learn from it, and take that experiance with us into our next life. I believe that in each reincarnation we get closer and closer to true spiritual enlightenment, and getting closer and closer to being like the Goddess, or God, or any higher being depending on religion. People suffer because they have karmatic debts fromt thier last life, and have to learn too. It does seem cruel, but no higher being would give someone more than they can handle. Its okay to doubt faith sometimes, its part of growing as a person. As for guardian angels, i do think that they are enlightened souls come back to help others learn and evovle, so they cant exactly interfere like superman or something, but they can help guide you if you need it, and if you have a possible near death experiance, and its not your "time" yet, then i think with their help and the help of a God or Goddess (once again depending on your religion) then you can be saved
This question is so old, it could apply for Medicare in the US. The truth of the matter is that there is no one answer, there are thousands and each of them are valid for the context they are in.

You don’t have to get up at 4am to go running. In fact, getting up at 4am is difficult for you to do. Yet, while everyone else is asleep in their bed, a handful of people are out jogging at an ‘ungodly’ hour, putting their bodies through exertion and difficulty that they could otherwise avoid. Why would someone do that, put themselves through difficulty if they could avoid it? Wasn’t God watching out for them when they did it? Or, in fact, did they perhaps not choose (for whatever reason) to share in that experience, to go through that difficulty, especially in the company of others, for reasons that are as varied and personal as the people experiencing them? If we understand virtue as the ability to put the needs of others before the needs and security of ourself, what expression of that virtue could we find? Where could we find it?

Why indeed would a human ‘choose’ to be born into a life of suffering, a life they only knew through the prism of misery and suffering? Because suffering inspires action, contemplation, reflection. Because happiness seeks to stop time and suffering seeks to move it forward. Because to endure suffering perhaps allows others to avoid it. Would you not suffer and be killed to avoid it happening to your children, eventhough you would know they would be greatly saddened by your death?

Sometimes, if you want to help people who are lost, you need to know what being lost feels like. A child who has lost its favorite toy knows how to comfort another child going through the same and through such identification, a human being is heard and two human beings are rescued. "Be angry at the sun for setting/if these things so anger you…" and you will be able to teach others the same.
It was the place and time for Petey to fully express himself – sometimes to outrageous effect – and “tell it like it is.” With the support of his irrepressible and tempestuous girlfriend Vernell, the newly minted ex-con talks his way into an on-air radio gig. He forges a friendship and a partnership with fellow prison inmate Milo’s brother Dewey Hughes. From the first wild morning on the air, Petey relies on the more straight-laced Dewey to run interference at WOL-AM, where Dewey is the program director. At the station, Petey becomes an iconic radio personality, surpassing even the established popularity of his fellow disc jockeys, Nighthawk and Sunny Jim. Combining biting humor with social commentary, Petey openly courts controversy for station owner E.G. Sonderling. Petey was determined to make not just himself but his community heard during an exciting and turbulent period in American history. As Petey’s voice, humor, and spirit surge across the airwaves with the vitality of the era, listeners tune in to hear not only incredible music but also a man speaking directly to them about race and power in America like few people ever have. Through the years, Petey’s “The truth just is” style — on – and off-air – would redefine both Petey and Dewey, and empower each to become the man he would most like to be.
